In 538 B.C. Babylon was "ruler of the world" (she thought)
but: her time had come, the "cup of her iniquity
was full"
God was about to "pull down" the pride of Babylon ! While
Belshazzar and his lords "partied"
the "sword of The Lord"
was at her very gates :
"THE HOUR OF HER JUDGMENT HAD COME"
AND JUST AS CERTAIN, is the coming judgment upon modern
Babylon ! Who is "Modern Babylon" ? Do You know ?
The
Bible makes it very clear who it is. Only those who
believe and study the Bible will know who Modern
Babylon
is ! All the rest are part of Babylon !
On whose side are You ?
THE PRECIOUS BIBLE, GOD'S HOLY WORD,
tells us who is the "Mystery of Iniquity"
the "Mother of Harlots"
and the cause of all
"ABOMINATIONS" on the earth !

This picture and its meaning is
described for us in the Bible,
in
the book of Revelation,
chapter 17:1-18. Here
is what God says :
And there came one of the seven angels, which had
the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me,
"come
hither; I will show unto thee the JUDGMENT of
THE GREAT WHORE that sitteth upon MANY WATERS "
verse one.
There are some who would have us believe that the
book of Revelation is a "mystery" and we can't
understand
it ! Let us now see how to the true
seeker, The Bible interprets itself; for instance
in this verse everyone understands
that a "whore"
is a "prostitute" or "harlot". This particular
"harlot" is
sitting upon "many waters" . Now what
is meant by the "many waters" ? God's word tells
us what
the "waters" represent, we need not guess!
Read verse 15:
"The waters which thou sawest, where the
whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes,
and nations, and tongues"
Well now it is clear that the "whore" represents
a "person" or "persons" who rules over
the nations
of earth ! And verse two tells us there is a very
close connection with this "whore" and the
"kings"
of the earth and this "whore" greatly effects the
lives of all people, notice what God
says:
"With whom the kings of the earth have committed
fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth
have been made
drunk with the wine of her fornication."
"With whom the kings of the earth have committed
fornication" ! Our first and foremost allegiance
belongs
to Our Heavenly Father. He is our "husband"
is that right ? Yes, God says: " Turn, O backsliding children,
saith the LORD; for I am married unto you:"
Jeremiah 3:14 Therefore, because these kings have
given their
allegiance to the "whore"; they are
committing "fornication" !
What about the people who have been "made drunk with
the wine of her fornication" ? What is the "wine"
?
Hundreds of years before John wrote the verse in
the book of Revelation, Jeremiah wrote: " Babylon
hath
been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand,
that made all the earth drunken: the nations
have drunken of her wine;
therefore
the nations are mad." Jeremiah 51:7
One of my favorite Christian authors gives this
insite:
"Jesus
pointed out the power of FALSE TEACHING
to destroy the appreciation and desire for truth.
"No man," He
said, "having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better." All the
truth that
has been given to the world through patriarchs and prophets shone out in new beauty in the words of Christ. But the scribes
and Pharisees had no desire for
the precious new wine. Until emptied of the old traditions, customs, and practices, they
had no place in mind
or heart for the teachings of Christ. They clung to the dead forms, and turned away from the living
truth and the power of God." From the book: Desire of Ages, p. 279
The "wine" with which the nations are "drunk" are
the "false teachings" of the Whore !
This will
become so clear as we proceed with this search
for Truth. The next verse in chapter 17 is the
one that
is illustrated by the above picture:
"So he carried me away in the Spirit, into the
wilderness, and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet
colored beast,
full of names of BLASPHEMY, having
SEVEN HEADS and TEN HORNS" Revelation 17:3
John introduced this beast
power earlier in chapter
13:1 - 10. In 13:1 he writes:
"And I looked upon the sand of the sea, and I saw
a
beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and
ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon
his
heads the name of BLASPHEMY".
What is BLASPHEMY ? Again the Bible gives us a
positively clear answer:
"The Jews answered him, saying,
For a good work we stone
thee not; but for BLASPHEMY; and because that thou, being a
man, MAKEST THYSELF God."
John 10:33
BLASPHEMY = 'DECLARING THYSELF GOD !
IS there a power on earth today who makes such a bold
presumptous
claim ? We must hear it from their own lips !
"The Pope can never be bound or loosed by the
secular power, since it is plain that he was
CALLED GOD by the
pious prince Constantine;...
and it is manifest that God can not be judged
by man" Decreti Prima Pars. Distintio
xcv1,
Is there need to show bolder BLASPHEMY than this !
But there are others: Lord Anthony Pucci, said to
the Pope,: "The sight of Thy DIVINE MAJESTY does
not a little terrify me" (see Oswalds; "Kingdom
Which
Shall Not Be Destroyed" p.97-99
This is proof that the Papacy is the power spoken of
as "BABYLON THE GREAT" ! In 11 Thessalonians chapter
two God says :
"Let no man deceive You by any means,for that day
shall not come, except there come a falling away
first, and
that MAN OF SIN be revealed, the
son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself,
above all that is called
God, or that is worshipped,
so that he AS GOD, sitteth in the temple of GOD,
showing himself that he is GOD"
! 2 Thess. 23-4.
